69 students have been expelled from Dhaka University (Dhaka) for allegedly resorting to fraud in the first year (honors) admission test.
Dhaka University authorities on Tuesday ( August 6) temporarily suspended the students.
The decision was made at a disciplinary board meeting, with DU Vice Chancellor Prof Akhtaruzzaman in chair at noon.
AKM Golam Rabbani, Proctor of Dhaka University, confirmed the news to media.
These students were enrolled in the University of Dhaka from 2012-2013 academic year to 2017-2018 academic year.
According to the decision of the meeting, 69 students who have been temporarily excluded will be given notice of the reason and will be asked to respond within seven days.
