On Saturday (August-10) Road, Transport and Brides Minister Obaidul Quader said transport companies charging homebound passengers extra fares will be punished.
Obaidul Quader said that vehicles are moving slowly on highways. It is the reality that people are to wait for vehicles due to this slow-moving. There is no denying that Eid holidaymakers put up with sufferings.
“It’s not right to make sweeping accusations. You have to point out the problem,” he told while visiting a mobile court drive at Mohakhali inter-district bus terminal in the capital.
“We’re taking action after getting complaints about additional fare. Some people involved in the practice have already been detained,” Quader said.
Minister Obaidul Quader told this while talking to journalists after visiting the Mohakhali Bus Terminal in Dhaka around 11:00am on Saturday.
