Govt to take tough stance against corruption in BRTC: Quader

Awami League general secretary and road transport and bridge minister Obaidul Quader said: the government was going to take a tough stance against irregularities and corruption of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC).

Bridge minister Obaidul Quader said on Saturday (August-24), the move is to make this organization profitable, also he made this remark at a discussion organised by CBA of BRTC marking the National Mourning Day at the auditorium of Diploma Engineers Institution.

He said, “BRTC will not get any profit unless this organization is freed from corruption. I, therefore, seek cooperation from all in order to turn it into a profitable one. I’m going to be tough against BRTC.”

Obaidul Quader said: “The corruption and irregularities will be eliminated from BRTC. This organization has become enriched with addition of new vehicles. If you extend cooperation, it is possible to make this organization profitable. I will materialize dream of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to turn the organization profitable.”
