2 more die of dengue in Faridpur and Kushtia

Two more people have died of dengue fever in Faridpur and Kushtia.

Civil Surgeon Dr Enamul Haque said, "Siddikur Rahman, (55),  Kabirajpur village in Raipur upazila of Madaripur, Faridpur, died around 9 am on Tuesday (September-10) at Faridpur Medical College Hospital while undergoing treatment.

Dr Enamul Haque told Siddikur was referred to the hospital with dengue from Raipur Upazila Health Complex on Monday noon. Later, he died at the hospital. 

He told that 9 people died of dengue in the district since January. 35 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the district in the last 24 hours. 

And the number of admitted patients currently undergoing treatment in government and private hospitals combined is 7,968 according to the latest data provided by (DGHS).

Another person in Kazihata village in the upazila, Kushtia, Mina Khatun, 25, wife of Raihan Ali, died in Bheramara Upazila Health Complex, on Tuesday (September-10) around 7 am.

Health and Family Planning Officer DrNurul Amin told, Mina was admitted to the Upazila Health Complex with dengue on Friday and died around 7 am today while undergoing treatment there.

Of the new patients, 318 were admitted to different hospitals in the capital while 454 in parts of the country, according to the latest data provided by (DGHS).
