8 Myanmar citizens detained with 2 lakh yaba in Cox’s Bazar

Bangladesh Coastguard members have arrested 8 Myanmar citizens with 2 lakh pieces of yaba pills from deep sea near Saint Martin’s in Cox’s Bazar. On Friday night, station commander of coast guard confirmed this news.

They were trying to enter Bangladesh, and they were arrested at around 3 am on Friday night (September 20) from South-Eastern Sea of the Island with fishing trawler, he added.

Station commander of coast guard identified the arrested Myanmar citizens, as Doila ,21, Robi Alam ,18, Alam ,26, Shafiqul 20, Noor ,19, Nur Alam .29, Ali Amjad .22, and Nurul Amin ,36.

Lieutenant Sohel Rana, station commander of coast guard in St Martin's Island told that acting on a tip-off, coast guard members conducted a drive in the South-East area of the Bay and recovered the large consignment of the crazy pills.
