Abrar murder: not allowed to drink water

Nazmus Sadat, a charged in the murder case told that the BCL men, who beat up BUET student Abrar Fahad to death, did not allow him to drink water.

Sadat said this while talking to journalists before hearing of a court on remand prayer against him.

Sadat told that my senior brothers Mehedi Hasan Robein, Anik Sarkar, Ifti Mosharraf Shakal, Muzahidur Rahman Muzahid and Moniruzzamn Monir  beat up Abrar unkindly, and when he (Abrar) requesting for drinking water but they did not allow to drink water. 

Sadat told that Monir ordered me and others to bring Abrar from his room and then we brought him from his room, on October 6, night around 12 am, before launching the attack on Abrar, then I returned to my room.

On the other hand, Awami League Law Minister Anisul Huq has said that preparations are underway to form a special prosecution team to take charge of the murder case of Abrar Fahad, a student of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology on Wednesday (October 16).

Anisul Huq told that it would not be fair to say anything about the matter till the investigation of this case is completed.

Anisul Haque told that Abrar murder case taken too held with ‘Ejahar’. Then the investigation started, and charge-sheet will be submitted within a few days. 

He said that we will take the next step once we receive the charge-sheet. The Law Ministry is going to set up a special prosecution team to receive it.
