Khokon new president of Chhatra Dal, Secretary Shyamol

BNP affiliate Chhatra Dal got a new lead in the direct vote of the councilors. Fazlur Rahman Khokan has been elected as the new president of Jatiyotabadi Chhatra Dal and Iqbal Hossain Shyaml has been made general secretary of the party.

Fazlur Rahman Khokan has been elected as the president of the Chhatra Dal council. He got 186 votes, and his nearest rival, Kazi Rowanuk Islam, got 178 votes.

On the other hand, Iqbal Hossain Shyamlal has been elected as the general secretary with 139 votes, and His nearest rival, Zakirul Islam Zakir, got 77 votes.

Mirza Abbas announced the results at the end of the counting after voting at midnight. The convenor of the Chhatra Dal election committee, former general secretary of the organization Khairul Kabir Khokon and others were present.

Earlier, voting took place on Wednesday (September 18) from 9 pm to 12 am. The counting of votes began at 1:00 am. 533 out of 481 voters in the 117 units voted.

It is reported that Khokon's house is in the Bogra district of the newly elected president. Shyam's house in Narsingdi is the general secretary.

A total of 28 candidates have been elected to the post of president and general secretary of the student body.

Of these, there are 9 people in the presidency and 19 general secretaries.
