BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir told that we are working to unite all the patriotic forces as there is no alternative to taking to the streets to ‘regain democracy' and people’s rights by dislodging the current ‘fascist regime’.
He said this while speaking at Mohanagar Natya Mancha, the ‘National Revolution and Solidarity Day commemorating the “civil-military uprising” on November 7, 1975.
Mirza Fakhrul said that the ruling AL government is trying to mislead people about its ‘widespread corruption' by crafting casino stories.
He said that the current AL government is fascist. We have no other option, but to take to the streets in unison to restore democracy, our lost rights and free our chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia,
Fakhrul Islam said that the fascist AL government cannot be defeated alone, all the forces are necessary to come together. We will move forward by creating a strong unity, and our victory is sure.
Fakhrul Islam said that the ruling AL government is turning Bangladesh into a failed state in a planned way by destroying democratic institutions.
He also said that the ruling AL government have taken away people’s voting rights and deprived people of good governance. They have taken their corruption to such a level that they have to now arrest their small fry to mislead people.
Mirza Fakhrul Islam said that the ruling party AL leaders plundered thousands of crores of taka from different banks and the share market, and some of the plunderers are PM’s, advisers, relatives. The AL government will not be able to hide its corruption from people by cathing some small corrupt elements and making casino stories.
Fakhrul Islam said that the ruling AL government is not only snatching people’s right to expression, but also regulating the media.
