The next 2023 World Cup is scheduled to be held in India. But the problem of financial transactions in the previous tournament was not resolved in India with the ICC. ICC Chief Executive David Richardson said that the upcoming Cricket World Cup may be held in Bangladesh, because of this.
ICC Chief Executive David Richardson said, ‘Yes we are still in the state. Hopefully, the BCCI will resolve quickly. And if the complexity arises, then the ICC will consider the next World Cup in Bangladesh.’
It is to be noted, there has been a complexity in the revenue transactions between the Indian Cricket Board and the ICC. It was not resolved even after a few rounds of meetings.
Earlier, the ICC's chief executive said, if the BCCI fails to pay the money, then 2023 World Cup will be removed from India.
